Our very own Dr. Norrick, alongside a passionate VOSH team and local heroes, spent 4 1/2 days conducting around 1,800 eye exams for the residents of Puerto Viejo and the rural Talamanca region in Costa Rica. Many of whom had never before seen an eye doctor! More than half of their patients are now looking at the world through new eyeglasses or sunglasses, and we're reminded of the profound impact compassion and community can have. Here's to changing lives, one pair of glasses at a time.
Meet Dr. David Seay, whose experience going to an eye doctor as a kid inspired him to pursue optometry to help others with their vision.
